Winning Weeks at WEC Ocala

The Finally Farm team traveled south to Florida for the World Equestrian Center Summer 2 and 3 Horse Shows in Ocala, Florida, June 15-26, and enjoyed a super successful and two fun weeks at this amazing venue.

MC Nolan’s horses jumped in top form and her consistent rides helped them earn tricolor honors both weeks. She guided Bettina to the championship and Golden Years to the reserve championship in the 3’6” Junior Hunter section during Summer 2 and then captured the reserve ribbon with Golden Years during Summer 3.

George Kelly and Adorable

George Kelly celebrated his birthday with new pony Edorable by wining the Small/Medium Children’s Pony Hunter championship WEC both weeks. The pair won all four over fences classes on their way to the title during Summer 3. What a way to start your new partnership!

Gigi Manigault and her talented Holsteiner Walk-Off made easy work of the 3’6” Amateur-Owner Hunter section on their way to the championship during Summer 2. They won three of the four over fences classes and placed second under saddle for a great show. They also earned top ribbons the 3’6” Performance Hunters, beating lots of top professionals!

Bridget Hallman and her Stargazing also starred in the Amateur-Owners, earning the reserve championship during Summer 3 in the 3’3” section. Bridget also piloted Who’s It to the championship in the Adult Amateur, 36-49, section during Summer 3 with a clean sweep of the section! Rebekah Warren and her MTM Hand Me Over added the Adult Amateur, 50 and over, reserve championship to the Finally Farm ribbon collection.

LuLu Wells and her Welsh pony Heaven’s Gift took no prisoners by winning the Large Pony Hunter championship and combined Pony Classic during Summer 2!

Elle Boyd and Vivianne Kassin’s Bitcoin also added a Classic blue ribbon to the Finally Farm banner, taking the Green Pony Classic victory as well as the Green Pony Hunter championship during Summer 2. Elle also guided Glenhaven Small Talk to tricolors in the Small Green Pony Hunters and was reserve champion during Summer 3 with Benjamin Buttons in the Small Pony Hunters.

Lourdes Low and Sienna got some air time on their way to the 3’3” Junior Hunter, 16-17, championship during Summer 2 and 3. They were first or second in every jumping class—consistency pays off!

LuLu Wells and Heaven’s Gift

Camryn Cass and Catchphrase, her Zangersheide gelding, topped the 3’3” Junior Hunter Classic during Summer 2 with great rounds.

The team also had a great showing in the Pony Hunter Derby. LuLu and Heaven’s Gift placed second, Elle and Benjamin Buttons were third and Frances and Girl On Fire claimed eighth.

In the Adult Jumpers, Meredith Huddle put in consistent rounds on Captainess and Money Penny to secure top finishes in the Low and High Adult Jumpers, and Grace Ann Nolan took top ribbons with her Malbay Dreamer.

Trainer Liza Boyd claimed top ribbons in a variety of the open sections during Summer 2 and 3, including the reserve championship in the 3’3” Green Hunters riding Gigi Manigault’s Saturday Session and the 3’ Green Hunter championship with Alison Thorp’s Matilda both weeks.
